This is an unfinished series about the lives of Muslims in Shanghai China. I started this series in 2014 while finish my work on Metamorpolis. After a few weeks of photos and interviews, my assistant who was from Xinjiang received threats from the local authorities. I had to put a stop to this project not to put anybody in danger. Its also around that time that I have decided to slowly plan my exit from China. Nevertheless, I spent a wonderful time with the families that welcomed me during those times and its with deep regret that I have never finished this work.
